Fully immerse yourself in the Australian outdoors and enjoy the fun of camping, without the hassle of setting up a tent. That’s what staying in one of our Joey Safari Tents is all about.

Imagine coming back after a big day exploring the Grampians to your own cosy mini Safari Tent, complete with a king-size bed (which can be split into singles if you’re bringing your best mate), reverse-cycle air conditioning, and your very own outdoor bath and shower on the deck overlooking the creek. Pretty dreamy!

Each Joey Safari Tent also has access to its own dedicated toilet block, so there’s no wandering around in the dark trying to find the main camp amenities.

Located in the heart of the Grampians, Halls Gap Lakeside is the perfect base for exploring everything the region has to offer. Spend your days hiking to waterfalls and lookouts, rock climbing or abseiling, cycling into Halls Gap, kayaking on Lake Bellfield, visiting local wineries and olive groves, horse riding, or simply slowing down and enjoying the surroundings.

After a day of adventure, ease those tired muscles in our outdoor wood-fire heated pool, then settle in for an evening under the stars around a campfire.

Come for the adventure, stay for the experience, and head home recharged with plenty of Grampians memories.

Good to know 

• A little heads-up about the outdoor bathing experience: while each tent has its own bath and shower, they are designed to embrace the open-air setting and are not completely private. There is some visibility between neighbouring tents, so we recommend keeping your bathers on while enjoying the outdoor bath or shower, for your own comfort and the privacy of other guests.

• Our Joey Safari Tent area is all about slowing down and enjoying a quiet, peaceful stay. While the area is not adults-only, these tents are not particularly suited to young children and we ask all guests to be mindful of the peaceful atmosphere and neighbouring tents.

  Each Joey Safari Tent has a maximum occupancy of two guests, including children. There is no space inside the tent for an additional bed or cot, so unfortunately we cannot accommodate more than two people in a tent.
